Change employee sale attributed to

Our business is a hair salon that operates on commission. Sometimes our employees mis-attribute sales to other people who did not complete the sale. We need a way to edit these transactions and assign them to the correct employee for both accounting and payroll purposes. Because we use Payroll with commission, the employees who did not complete the sale end up getting paid, and the ones who actually made the sale do not. This is unacceptable.

Ai, are you listening?  Everyone comment if you are struggling with this problem.

Hi, Square! Going on 5 years waiting for this simple issue to be resolved. Care to address that?

Still waiting for

my salon.   Just cancelled square payroll because of this issue.  I still had to do payroll manually so why pay for the other product.  It is not that hard of a fix. Why are you not doing this?  Even if you only allowed a manager or front desk staff the ability.

right?! Im currently looking for other options because of this issue and the continued ignoring of it as as well.

Still struggling with this problem as well, especially because tips are involved. Even Lightspeed has the option to change a sale to the correct employee even after the sale is finished. Accidents happen, and sometimes people leave the screen open on their personal code. Not sure we are going forward with Square after this year either.

Hi,

Still an issue for us as well and a shame since we are not the only businesses complaining about it.

I have to correct commissions and tips before payroll and do not use the Square payroll platform due to this issue.

Maybe one day, so let's keep this thread going....

Sincerely,

still an issue!

How do we change "attributed to" to "collected by". This is how I track team sales for commissions.

  • Still an issue at our business. The ease of use of the square register with appointments are reasonable credit card processing fees are the reasons we stay.

Hi @Groompella there are no changes that I know of and It would help me out during the payroll process.

I currently have to check all sales & tips for each employee so they are paid correctly...

Lets keep this tread rolling, maybe someone with Square will see and respond?

This is a clearly articulated, long-standing issue that has been popular in the community for YEARS. If this sort of thing doesn't get addressed (Status=Open), what good is this feedback system?
