Change employee sale attributed to

Our business is a hair salon that operates on commission. Sometimes our employees mis-attribute sales to other people who did not complete the sale. We need a way to edit these transactions and assign them to the correct employee for both accounting and payroll purposes. Because we use Payroll with commission, the employees who did not complete the sale end up getting paid, and the ones who actually made the sale do not. This is unacceptable.

Will this ever be addressed?????? this is such a major flaw

Is there anyone on this thread who uses Square payroll?  That is the last option I can think of where this feature might be hidden - what does is look like to make adjustments before approving payroll?

@Groompella I don’t use payroll because of this issue. Since you can edit the person of sale after the sale (without refunding the entire ticket), all of our reports are inaccurate, and we have to export all sales, manually audit, and do payroll on our own. It is infuriating, and NO ONE will respond. It has been asked for in so many threads for years. I don’t understand how they ignore so many requests.

@Groompella we use tips on payroll with the appointments module but not commissions. You can manually edit tips, but you have to manually calculate any adjustments if the appointment was taken by a different employee and wasn't reassigned to the right person before being billed. So manually adjusting the actual pay is the only way we've found to work around this.

@nrspamela26 So if I understand correctly, you can make adjustments to payroll (remove a tip from one employee and allocate it another).  Can that adjustment to assigned to a customer or specific transaction?  Can you select the date for accurate reports?

@Groompellayou just have to adjust the amount in the tips column on their paycheck, there isn't any tracking ability to say why that I see. You'd have to do that outside the system. Which is why this feature would be nice.

Please Square Team fix this.  This is why I am not using Square payroll as well.  I need to be able to edit the sale attributed to a couple of times a day.  Since this is not an option I have to keep a manual excel sheet for doing payroll.  This is an easy fix let’s get this done.

Square community - we NEED you.  If this is affecting your business, please post.  Square is not shy in announcing that the squeaky wheel gets the grease!  But we ALL have to tell them this is a LOUD squeak!

Just got off the phone with Square. They said they would put in a feature request. These request go into effect based on the number of request for the feature are received.  So I guess we all need to call.
