Cash App payments don't register Loyalty points vs Card payments

Hello all, 

As a customer that uses the Cash App at various coffee shops... I would like to use the Cash App to pay for coffee and get loyalty points without having to login with my phone number. 

When I pay using the Cash App QR code on the terminal ... it always asks me to Check in to the business.. 

However, when I pay using a credit card it doesn't.  

The Cash App should check me in if I've been using it with the business and have loyalty points with them
