Dear Square Tech Team,
I'd like to bring to your attention this feature request in Square Appointment.
The problem
We run a beauty business across two locations and use Square Appointments for online bookings. Right now, when a customer opens one of our individual booking links, the location selection pop-up does not appear automatically. This causes problems for us:
- Customers can start booking without noticing which location they've chosen, and some end up booked at the wrong shop.
- They then have to call or message us to fix it, which takes up staff time and frustrates the customer.
- We can't confidently share one booking link in our socials, Google profile, QR codes or messages, because we can't be sure the customer will pick the right location.
The location pop-up does appear automatically on the Square Online subdomain, so we know the feature exists. It just doesn't work the same way on individual booking links.
What we'd like Square to improve
1. Show the location selector automatically when a multi-location seller's booking link is opened, the same way it works on the Square Online subdomain.
2. Add a setting that lets sellers choose whether the selector shows automatically, or whether a link goes straight to a specific location.
3. Make the chosen location clearly visible throughout booking and on the confirmation screen, so customers can check it before they confirm.
Why it matters
More and more small businesses are growing into multiple locations. A clear location choice at the start of booking would cut down on wrong-location bookings and no-shows, and save staff from fixing bookings by hand. It would also make one booking link reliable enough to share anywhere.
Other sellers have already raised this, and Square Support has submitted it on our behalf as well. We'd really appreciate it being prioritised.
Thanks.
Vicky
