We do a fairly even split of retail and services but keep our POS in Booking Mode to have access to our appointment calendar at all times. I'd like to be able to process an exchange for retail items without having to switch over to Retail Mode. Currently if I have someone needing to swap out an item for a different size or flavor my only options are to A) process a refund and then a separate transaction for the new purchase (tedious and leads to excessive fees between the original purchase, the refund, and the final purchase. Also can cause a hold on the customer's card while things process which can be an issue for some) or B) if the new item is the same price I can manually adjust inventory and avoid processing the transaction through the POS. This can cause my item sales reports to be inaccurate and requires the employee handling the transaction to have inventory permissions. Exchanges are easily available in the Retail mode and I can't see why it's not an option through Appointments/Booking. If it's something to do with the services, I could understand if exchanges were only available on items and not services, but having the option in any capacity would be a huge help.
