Add option to split tips equally among team members assigned to a transaction

I would like to request an additional tip allocation option for Square.

Currently, when multiple service providers are assigned to the same transaction, Square can split tips proportionally based on the service amount. Square also offers tip pooling options, but those either include all tip-eligible team members who are clocked in, divide by hours worked, or divide by job role percentages.

What many salons and service-based businesses need is another option:

Split the tip equally only among the team members assigned to that specific transaction.

Example:
A client receives a hair service from one stylist and a nail service from one nail technician on the same ticket. The client leaves a $20 tip and assumes each provider will receive $10.

The ideal tip allocation would be:

• Stylist: $10

• Nail technician: $10

This would better reflect the client’s intent and would be very helpful for salons, spas, med spas, barbershops, and other service businesses where multiple providers work on the same client transaction.

Right now, the available options do not fully solve this issue. Having this as an additional tip allocation method would give businesses more flexibility and avoid confusion between clients and service providers.
