Add a training or test mode

Please add a training mode. We are looking to open a dozen locations by the end of 2026 and for our teams training is going to be necessary.

This is a wanted and needed feature!! Why aren't you listening to your customers?! This has been being asked for since 2017.

This needs to be a feature. I work with young people and senior citizens and not having a training mode makes it very difficult for them to practice enough to be confident using the system. This makes it harder to train new staff and volunteers and pulls time away from leadership staff to help them trouble shoot at the sales table. Not having this makes it actively harder for us to grow the business. This is a reason we would leave Square for a different POS.

I would love a training mode so I can experiment with setting up my menu, finding the most efficient ways to organized everything. I would also like to practice each type of transaction so I'm familiar enough to train my employees.

This would certainly be a great feature to see, it'll allow employees to understand and play around with the system without fearing messing something up!! I love all these new feature ideas.

This feature has been requested over and over again for many years... and still nothing from Square. This isn't fluff... This is a NEEDED function in the software. Come on Square listen to your users and act!!
