I am still baffled by the Marketing at Square.
The reports of who opened the email are useless, as of last week most people opened it twice, not one opened it once, and those who opened it 4 and 6 times (Not any other higher numbers)
I asked them: 1) If they opened the last email and 2) How many times did they open it?
And 90% of the answers were; " I never opened them, I trashed them as I only respond to your text messages"
and three said they opened it one time not 4 or 6 times
What gives, with these reports? They are useless.

@GourmetOnWheelsI'm really wondering if the "opened" rate isn't actually an open versus the customer's email program showing them the preview of the email. I mean, technically, that would be considered an open because the program has to open it in order to display part of it.
It would also explain the multiple opening issue. I know I check my email on multiple devices, so if each device pulls the preview could it be counted as individual opens?? 🤔
You're right though: that means those open numbers don't really help us. I would be really interested in hearing from the Marketing team about this one...
This is a thought. I've never delved into the individual people opening email, but I see from an email from last week I have people opening 4, 5 and 8 times.. that's crazy.
Wonder what's happening... the "preview" is a good thought.
@DinaLRosenberg I have almost all opened it twice and 4 and 6 times. Not one opened it once even though the bulk of my clients told me they opened it one time or trash it immediately
Ryan, I myself haven't touched them for three weeks not clicked to delete, just left the last 6 unread.
Well in the reports I opened every of these six twice.
