Email collecton screen not coming up at end of trasaction

We've noticed that the email collection screen w/coupon doesn't come up for all CC transactions.  Any ideas why?

Hello @BRB1 !

 

The email collection screen will show up for those customers who don't have an email address associated with the card they used.

 

How Square works is that if a customer of yours visited another Square merchant and entered their email there, when they use the same card at your place you automatically get their email address.  Also, if they have entered their email address on your system, you'll obviously have access to that address on future visits. Because of this, the collection screen won't show for cards with known email addresses linked to it.

I understand what you said, but it creates a problem that Square should be able to fix. In other words Square should give us the ability to fix this problem...We have customers who want to receive our newsletter. Sometime in the past they must have somehow unsubscribed from Square. In our customer list they show up as unsubscribed. They signed up for Loyalty and they wonder why they don't get our newsletter. There should be a quick and easy fix for them to give us their email address at checkout, when we are face to face and talking to the customer.
