How do I add inventory or part to appointments?

I am selling appointments. However, I have to use parts with every appointment. I would like to manage the stock or inventory level. And I need customers to select a colour. 

 

So, how can I create an appointment, so that customers can choose a colour which in turn effects the stock left once the sale is made?

 

I have been trying to figure out if it can be done through either "Resource Required" or Add Variation or Custom Attributes in the appointment creation window? Please see below screenshot.

Hi @RyanUK, thanks for your post!

 

From looking into this on my end and testing with my account, both the Resources Required fields or Custom Attributes won't be able to do what you need. There isn't a way to add stock to Resources Required right now and the Custom Attributes field is only there to add additional information to your existing and new items, making it easier to filter within the Items Library.

 

Right now, you'd need to setup stock for the items needed in the Items Library and processed a sale independently from the appointment in order for stocks to be tracked and deducted accordingly. 

 

I will keep looking on my end to see if there are any alternatives or workarounds but right now, this is the only one I've come across.
