Square loans 2026

Hi! I am currently @ 49% paid of my 8th loan with square. Typically offers have come in at around 50-60% since. I have seen a few people mentioning that they now do a soft credit pull and am wondering if this pertains to personal credit or business credit?

Hi @moxiemavenandco

Appreciate you taking the time to post.

New offers are not automatically extended when a certain percentage of an existing loan is repaid, but your business may become eligible for a new offer when your existing plan is closer to being repaid. This timing helps to ensure a significant portion of a new loan can be used to reinvest in your business directly rather than repaying your existing loan balance.

Keep in mind that we can’t guarantee that another offer will be extended before or after the current plan is complete. Repaying your existing plan does not guarantee that your business will be eligible for another offer.

Don’t hesitate to contact us directly if you have further questions or concerns.

Here we go!!! 1 more down. It can take 1-3 days, depending on the day of the week and the time you received it.  Just watch your dashboard; if no information is needed, it's just a tad behind. There's been a big push! Congratulations again!

Great to see that offers are still going out even if it was lower than expected.

I know it’s disappointing but, it’s starting to move and that’s good!

I don't think it's starting to move. I think it's starting to move for very few.

Just thought I'd share my experience this time. I last posted in March when my new offer didn't come until 10 days later. (Organically paid off. 3 days for it to hard post + 7 days after that date received a new offer--first time I'd had to pay it all the way off to receive a new one.) I have been a member since 2016 with many, many square loans. Years ago, I even moved states, reestablished my business, and always had consistent offers. This time I tried a new approach just to see what it would do, and I paid the last little bit off early a couple of weeks ago. (It would've paid off organically by now either way.) And it's been 14 days and no new offer. (This loan was paid off super quick and early regardless.) That surpasses the bench marks of 7 days, 7 business days, 10 business days, and two weeks.

I do have the square credit card as well. I'd definitely think it's safe to say that something is askew with the loan department.

Dashboard all green. Sales consistent and up 226% percent from the year prior. Makes no sense. But, for what it's worth, I wanted to share with others so we can see the trends currently.

Follow up: today after my dashboard updated I did receive another offer. So it may take 7 full days after hard posting a payoff and the re-check that day to go through. That’s twice in a row for me for it to function that way.

Hi! I haven't been on this forum for awhile, but I have been checking lately because my loan was almost all paid off. I got to 75% yesterday and I finally I got offered a loan today around 10:40pm. For reference I am a small business owner providing hair & makeup services for special events primarily weddings. This year all my numbers are up, and my volume and processing as well.

I've never had any issues with payments or any chargebacks. The loan I just finished with was not my highest amount, but the new loan offered is a larger amount.

Also I'm not sure if this truly helps, but I usually spam the thumbs up/thumbs down button that is available on both the loan page and the metrics page. When I get round 60-65% I spam those buttons everyday, several times a day. Again I do not know if it really works but I feel like it lets the "computer" know my interest and feedback. Since there is no actual human deciding these loan terms, my only way of "communicating" is those thumbs up/down buttons.

Congrats on your loan and your business growth! I am at 84% but it's only my 3rd loan and I have not ever received a loan offer prior to paying off my current loan.  It would be great but I am not expecting it.  I love seeing the success of everyones business though!!

I run a small day spa. I've done the same thing with the thumbs up and down once I get over 60ish% percent. Wasn't sure if it did anything but it made me feel like I was doing something. Lol

I received an offer late last night. I was a little over 72% paid, the offer was in the upper 80’s. I requested a lower amount but I’m not sure how quickly it will get reviewed since its the weekend.

Congrats on the new offer.

Unfortunately I have up on waiting for a loan.

I'm at 88% percent paid of a $36k loan with no offer in sight.

Got an offer last time in the 70s, that was in April of this year. Sales are up, and we are approaching the 70s again. Summers are slower for us so payback is not as fast as loans prior. But we have been green and above our threshold from last year, so interested to see when the next offer drops.
