Hi! I am currently @ 49% paid of my 8th loan with square. Typically offers have come in at around 50-60% since. I have seen a few people mentioning that they now do a soft credit pull and am wondering if this pertains to personal credit or business credit?
Appreciate you taking the time to post.
New offers are not automatically extended when a certain percentage of an existing loan is repaid, but your business may become eligible for a new offer when your existing plan is closer to being repaid. This timing helps to ensure a significant portion of a new loan can be used to reinvest in your business directly rather than repaying your existing loan balance.
Keep in mind that we canโt guarantee that another offer will be extended before or after the current plan is complete. Repaying your existing plan does not guarantee that your business will be eligible for another offer.
Donโt hesitate to contact us directly if you have further questions or concerns.
Here we go!!! 1 more down. It can take 1-3 days, depending on the day of the week and the time you received it. Just watch your dashboard; if no information is needed, it's just a tad behind. There's been a big push! Congratulations again!
Like I just told the one above you. Unfortunately, unfortunately, your stats are astronomical, and you are kicking it. When this happens, I take a look at other platforms, and nothing there. Lending on the whole is tight. Until outside forces start to loosen up, that plays into loans as well. Itโs not just our stats but whatโs going on outside of Square. Your past history has been excellent, and business has been great. Unfortunately, thatโs out of our control. Once you see others moving in lending, it might be a tough one. Have you reached out to them directly and actually got through to the loan department and not customer service? Two months paid off, great history, excellent numbers should or could deserve a look at. Good luck to you really.
Update.
Currently at 85% and no offer still
Got a really low offer today. 20k less than last one! $15k less than first. At 85% paid off and ALL GOOD. WTH? And previously I just said ok and Money was deposited immediately. This time is says 1-3 day review. Keep you posted.
yay!!! congrats! keep me posted,
It has been trending a lower and the 1-3 days is pretty standard now. My last couple if I accepted it by early afternoon it was there the next day except one took 2 days. ๐ฉ sorry about the offer but I am glad to see them going out.
Anyone have any good news?
i am at 75%. no offers. patiently and hopefully waiting. lol
Good luck and please keep us posted!!!
Fingers crossed ๐ค good luck!
Still no offer.
I'm at 86% paid off. $31,269 of a $36,000 loan.
No offer. No update. I'm in the same boat as everyone else. A little frustrated and surprised how long offers are taking. It usually gets retriggered at 60%-75% at the most for a new loan .
It has been really hard to even try to figure it out. Itโs been the tale of two stories. I see yours to completely paid off for months with anywhere from 80-120% increase in sales to those that pop in from 55-65% percent paid off??? Itโs been hard for us that have been around for a while and got so used to that 70-75% guaranteed offer point and those days are gone. Besides our sales and metrics shooting through the roof, Square takes into consideration what is going on outside of Square. The economy, the stock market, the bigger picture of it all. Youโre history, years with Square and lending in general everywhere. Does that help us when business is booming no, not so much and I understand the frustration, confusion I wish I could offer more but unfortunately as you see the board itโs been a long time in between offers at least posted here. I wish you all the best and hopefully very soon. Good luck and keep us posted.
Hi!
I am wondering if you can tell me what I should do. I received a loan offer the other day and when I was going through the questions (not wearing my contacts of course as it was like 1am lol) it auto-populated and entered some of info which was obv incorrect and I didn't realize it until it went to verify and of course it couldn't because the info was incorrect. I am wondering if I should just cancel my application and wait for a new offer? If so how long until a new offer comes in? We have been waiting for an offer to come in as we need to purchase some new equipment and I was so excited to see this offer come in. I have reached out to customer service and asked them if they could resend the offer to me so I could re-do it, or if I should cancel it and wait for a new offer. The response I received was "you can cancel your loan but know that you are not guaranteed another offer". The question I asked about resending the application to me as I made a mistake was not addressed at all. Has anyone had this happen, and if so what did you do, and if you cancelled your loan how long until you received a new offer? Thank you in advance for your help!
Hi! First, donโt panic. โค๏ธ Iโve seen situations where incorrect information during the verification process causes the application to stall, and unfortunately, Square Support is correct that canceling the application does not guarantee a new loan offer will be generated.
Before canceling, I would encourage you to continue working with Square Support and specifically ask if the current application can be reset, reopened, or escalated due to an auto-populated information error. Make it clear that the information was entered unintentionally and that youโre simply requesting the opportunity to correct it, not submit a brand new application.
If Support confirms they cannot modify or reopen the application, then your only option may be to cancel. Just keep in mind that loan offers are generated by Squareโs automated eligibility system, so neither Support nor Square Champions can see when or if another offer will become available.
If you do end up canceling, the best thing you can do is continue processing payments consistently and maintaining healthy account activity, as those are the factors the system uses when evaluating future offers.
I know thatโs probably not the answer you were hoping for, especially when you were excited to move forward with purchasing equipment. I hope Support is able to escalate it for you so you can simply correct the information instead of waiting for another offer. Please keep us updated. Iโm sure others in the Community would also benefit from hearing how this is resolved. ๐
Hi there!
Thank you for your reply. I reached out to Square again and again I received a generic email stating lour review process is needed to verify the information please upload requested information for us to reviewโ. The issue is its impossible for me to upload information for them to review and verify, when the information that was auto-populated was incorrect, so I cant upload information that is incorrect, and therefore impossible to have. So I again replied to them asking exactly what you suggested and now I have to wait again for another two days for a reply. I don't want to cancel the loan and hope for a new offer to come, but Im not sure I am going to get any other answer or assistance on this and Im afraid that Im just wasting time. Itโs already been almost a week. Do you have any experience on if I do cancel the loan, how long it will be before I get another offer? I see alot of posts saying others are able to see when their acct is updated or reviewed but I cant seem to find that anywhere on any of my screens. How/where can I tell when my account is reviewed for a loan offer? Do Square loan personnel every read these forums and/or answer any of these messages? Or are they able to see them on our profiles/accounts? Maybe if they are they will see my messages, and be able to help? Thank you!
I completely understand why youโre frustrated. Based on what youโve described, it sounds like youโre stuck in a loop where the verification request is asking you to upload information that was incorrectly pre-filled. Unfortunately, thatโs not something you can fix on your end if the system wonโt let you edit it first.
At this point, I would not cancel the loan offer unless Square Support specifically advises you to do so. There isnโt a set timeframe for when another loan offer would appear if you cancel. Some sellers receive another offer quickly, while others may wait weeks or even months depending on account activity and eligibility. Once an offer is declined or canceled, thereโs no guarantee the same offer will return.
Regarding your other questions:
Since youโve already replied asking for clarification on exactly what documentation is needed, I think youโve taken the correct next step. If they continue sending the same generic response without addressing the incorrect information, I would reply directly to that email again and clearly state:
โIโm unable to complete the verification because the information your system pre-populated is incorrect and cannot be edited. Please either correct the information on your end or tell me exactly how to proceed.โ
I know waiting is incredibly frustrating, especially when youโre trying to move forward with your business. Hopefully someone from the verification team reviews your response and provides more specific guidance rather than another automated email.
Please keep us updated. Iโd genuinely like to know how this gets resolved, as it may help other sellers who encounter the same issue.
Thank you so much for your reply and help. It is extremely frustrating waiting at least two days for a reply and then getting another generic answer. I really don't want to have to cancel the loan app but I may have to at this point and pray I get another one quickly. I will try sending the response you suggested when I get a response from them again and see what happens and I will def keep you posted. Any chance you know how emails are answered? Like if I reply again now to the email will they see them in a thread, w/the latest one l sent on top or would it just be moved to the back of the que? Thanks again for all of your help!
Youโre very welcome! I completely understand why youโre feeling discouraged. Waiting days between replies only to receive another generic response would test anyoneโs patience.
As far as how their email system works, I donโt know the specifics of Squareโs internal ticketing platform, so I donโt want to speculate. In most support systems, replying to the same email keeps everything together in one conversation for the reviewer, but I canโt say with certainty whether it affects your place in the queue or bumps the ticket to the back.
My personal recommendation would be to avoid sending multiple follow-up replies before they respond, unless you have important new information to add. Some support systems treat each new reply differently, and since we donโt know how Squareโs works internally, itโs probably best to wait for their next response before replying with the clarification we discussed.
I really hope someone takes ownership of your case soon because this doesnโt sound like a situation you can resolve on your end if the information youโre being asked to verify is incorrect from the start.
Please do keep us updated. If youโre comfortable sharing how this gets resolved, it could be incredibly helpful for other sellers who find themselves in the same situation in the future. Wishing you the best, and Iโm hoping your next reply is from a real person who can get this sorted out. ๐ค
Thank you so much, I will wait and hope to receive a response soon. And I will def let you know what happens. Thank you again ๐๐ป๐
She is giving you great advice. Let me add a few. You have to get past customer service and get to account specialist/loans specialist who can clear it right up. Let me tag a couple of great ladies who can help before your offer disappear. @Papaya @abbeyc could you lead this lady into the right direction for an offer and it fill in the autogenerated form which needs to be updated. Thank you so much ๐๐๐๐๐๐ they will get you in the right spot.
I love that you are so positive with your response. We don't always get that!!
Hello, started square in February of this year kind of just stumbled upon it while searching through POS systems and decided to give them a try first. So far so good! I received a square offer in April almost immediately once I hit the $10,000 mark it was a small offer. Of course I took it because as a new business it came at a perfect time. I am now at 80% paid off, sales are up and all metrics are green. Came here to see at what percentage new offers come through but seems like they are all over the place. Really needing extra funds as we are getting a new food truck and I need to get some things for it and extra product. Is there any way to expedite a new loan?
