Hi! I am currently @ 49% paid of my 8th loan with square. Typically offers have come in at around 50-60% since. I have seen a few people mentioning that they now do a soft credit pull and am wondering if this pertains to personal credit or business credit?
Appreciate you taking the time to post.
New offers are not automatically extended when a certain percentage of an existing loan is repaid, but your business may become eligible for a new offer when your existing plan is closer to being repaid. This timing helps to ensure a significant portion of a new loan can be used to reinvest in your business directly rather than repaying your existing loan balance.
Keep in mind that we canโt guarantee that another offer will be extended before or after the current plan is complete. Repaying your existing plan does not guarantee that your business will be eligible for another offer.
Donโt hesitate to contact us directly if you have further questions or concerns.
Here we go!!! 1 more down. It can take 1-3 days, depending on the day of the week and the time you received it. Just watch your dashboard; if no information is needed, it's just a tad behind. There's been a big push! Congratulations again!
You havenโt updated in awhile? Normally means u need to process more, to me anyways
Hoping to also receive a offer soon,
it seems I have higher volume than most I have seen here, with more or less 3000 transactions a month as a high volume cafe.
I normally get a new offer around 70% which Iโm hoping for again. Was hoping to get any insights but Iโm good and green on all factors. Looks like just a waiting game but I wish square would adjust the algorithm or have manual reviews for loans that are more than 60%.
We do a little over 12,000 transactions in a month and are always in the green and getting new offers, but we never take them, so I can't say when we would get offered again.
It definitely seems the trend is safety of getting loans fully paid back and then new offers, which makes sense in the long run otherwise you are using a big chunk of your new loan to pay off your old loan, which benefits you the consumer less. There are still tons of new loans a day, but when there are millions of users thousnads of loans a day doesn't seem like a lot when you are out there looking for one.
Square consumer lending was up 69% year over year, so it isn't going anywhere.
Iโm at 82% complete, all metrics in green, and no offer. Just checking in with everyone else. Any good news?
100% paid off since Jan 22nd. No offer yet everything is green beside my dispute section saying needs work
Besides 1 or 2 that check in here, it's been very slow going. On the whole, it's been a higher percentage of users who've paid back. You still see the odd 60-70% pop in, but they know what Square is looking for and kick it in. Keep processing as much as possible and increase the volume of swipes. The other is new customers vs old. NO negatives! You are trying to get the algorithm is pick you and see the increase in sales and no negatives. Good luck keep us posted please ๐ it helps others
I'm Kris with Heavenly Lawn Services here in Florida! I love Square โฌ they have been a great processing partner!
They helped free up our time with payments with the save a debit card feature! We went from $33,000 the first year starting out to a whopping $118,000 a year revenue with sales and customers still climbing especially with spring ๐ผ๐ฑ weather already here in Florida we are looking for another spectacular year with Square as always!
96% of all months year round have been a record each year with growth ๐
Also noticed a lot of comments recently in regards to square cutting back on loans and or making new restrictions on business loans. Square capital has always brought peace of mind. Even if you just throw it in the bank and leave it unless there's large purchases. . Square has been a great partner and highly recommend them for business growth and automation for any small business. Currently 75% paid on the 5th current loan ....Hope to do more business with square loans. The algorithm has definitely gotten more strict in terms of offers. But one will come...
God bless our small businesses, we maintain high volumes of customers starting out without workers. No one knows best the ups and downs like the owners do.
I did this in August! I have been with Square for about 10 plus years and have seen the ups and downs. In August I really didn't need a loan but the offer was too good to pass up and I was completely paid off. I took the offer and right in the bank it went. January was a horrible weather I could had that to dip into. Great advice. Good luck!
Yes and for lawn care is very normal for fall and winter to drop in sales. Not to mention mostly Walmart and Amazon making all the money around Christmas. I think this is my 3rd year. Last year was incredible..... doubled my square income processing. Yes and exactly most of the time just leave the money in the bank from the loan providing financial peace of mind and it's there when the business needs it. Good luck ๐ค to you and God bless your business ๐
Thank you! You as well. PS, I don't have much patience when it comes to waiting. It's like watching a painting to dry ๐
Hahaha ๐คฃ
Iโm currently on my 7th Square loan and sitting at about 69% paid, with around $240k in sales since my last funding, $68k in the last 30 days, and about $22k in the past week (with daily spikes hitting $4kโ$6k). Iโve processed over $1.6M CAD in total over the last 3+ years and have had zero disputes or chargebacks in that time. My repayment rate is 16.5%, and all my eligibility metrics are showing green in the dashboard. In the past, I used to receive new offers around 55% repayment, usually over the weekend, but this time Iโve had multiple eligibility timestamps without any offer yet. I also noticed the recent UI change moving Loans into a separate tab (same as others). Just trying to see if anyone with a similar profile in 2026 has recently received an offer, and at what % paid or conditions it triggered
So far, there's been a big spike in transactions for those in the lower percentage. It's been very quiet until this week, and they are really just starting to report in the last few days. Not all posts here, so I can only speak on those that do. The board has been active to start the week. Good luck, and I hope it ends even stronger. Yes, the loan page has been updated to be more user-friendly and streamlined.
Not always, but usually on the norm: loan 1-4/5 are usually out-of-the-blue offers. The algorithm essentially tries to figure out your processing habits to fit you with the proper size based on your history. All loans, how fast you're paying them off with sales, new customers vs regular customers, and how frequently you're taking cards, and the dollar amount. Loan 6 for me was my largest, and from there all increased as my sales and time with Square/years continued. 10 years and zero disputes, but I do have a clear zero-return policy posted. I'm a retail furniture store. I fill out all factory warranty policies when they purchase a new kitchen table or couch. They sign it, and I mail it out. 75% of customers never fill it and return it. Their warranty is anywhere from 10 years to life. I can't beat that. When we repeat, keep swiping, and try to increase the dollar amount, we get new customers, which all equal a healthy and growing business. History and the ones I mentioned are exactly what are helping the algorithm kick in and take a second look at your account. You have more than tripled your sales in 3 years. Those are amazing numbers. IMO, I don't see any questions or concerns about you receiving another offer; it's just a matter of when, and nobody can crack that algorithm yet! ๐
Exactly and I think my next offer would be number 6 . It's just slows down in the fall and winter. I still keep a decent amount of recurring revenue all year but the clients that only like spring and summer service those drop off in November and return in March. I'm sure it will happen... square makes money from the loan. I have clients they have remained recurring payments bi weekly for probably 3 years now. So I feel positive once all these newest spring clients attach a credit card on file and algorithms hit just right it will send an offer. I will keep y'all updated soon as I receive one. Just to keep everyone informed and positive experiences with recurring loans.
We need some positive vibes in here, bad! Get them, please!
I will keep them coming and it's very true every word. It's easy for someone to get upset about an offer when they are relying on it at a certain percentage!
@Twpchair yes mines were all random beside my second one I just felt it was coming, this my longest wait yet everything green besides the dispute part, a month an half so far no offer
I looked and asked around, and honestly, with disputes, it's so random. You won, and it's been over 6 months, and nothing. Your first dispute should have dropped IMO. I am going to reach out again and see if someone can look at your ACCOUNT! Unfortunately, if it were up to me I would be like Oprah up in here and giving out loans to everyone! ๐
Yes @Twpchair as of right now everything is green as usual just that dispute part no luck, still just a waiting game
I've been watching, and I have asked and asked. Unfortunately, there really isn't a timeframe that anyone can tell me for a 1st dispute to a 4th dispute. The only ones who have had it removed were those who called in, and only accounts can do it. I know we've talked about this before, and business is doing well. It's just that fact, after your track record with loans and with Square 1 dispute in your favor, and what's going on now for 7-8 months? You are a good person and much calmer than I am that is for sure, but sshhh I'm Italian too! ๐
