Hello. Canned Fresh by Lois......We are a small operation with a ONE MAN band (so to speak)....and YES, I still make ALL my products. Jams, salsa, savory items and soups to name a few. Can I get help ? Sure but NOT in the kitchen dept, only in the stationery dept (labeling, counting etc) The USDA has restrictions for my license as I am using a certified kitchen but not a separate brick and mortar store. OK...enough about me.......my VENT is the SAVINGS item recently posted. I would love to take advantage of this as our savings is minimal but we still have enough to pay rent and insurance in Jan to get started. If Square REALLY cared about the small business that started them get as big as they are, WHY NOT help out the little guy and make the "requirements" for the percentage a bit more reasonable. 10K in savings just sitting there to get the special percentage is nonsense ......the $$ is desperately needed to purchase goods to get started next year. Square can easily "see" what each buisness is pulling in......if you make under 100K how about reducing the requirement to maybe $2500 ....or better yet......give us a worthwhile percentage (ok, not 3.9) in the 2% range for the lower savings ? THEN as things get better (ahem) then the increase in savings will yield the higher % !!
