December 2025 Square Loans

This is my 18th loan with square, these loans have helped build my business tremendously since 2019. my lowest offer being 2100 to now paying off my highest of 38,900 - 80% paid off - always early pay off before the due date metrics.. I know the usual square verbiage "no guarantee of an offer, must be 3/4th paid for any hopes" etc.. just wondering if anyone please in similar shoes as me, has seen an offer in December yet? I desperately need this holiday boost , all metrics green and I could almost swear id have one by now .. usually I hit from lowest 54% to highest 87% but majority have been BEFORE hitting 80%... getting anxious. Anybody getting a loan recently?

Thanks for posting on the Seller Community.

We appreciate your loyalty when choosing to partner with Square for your past business loans. We understand that not being immediately eligible can be frustrating, but we are unable to override the automatic review process. Offers are based on many business factors including, but not limited to, your current payment processing volume, your customer mix, and your Square account history. At this time, we can’t predict if or when your business may be eligible for an additional Square Loan. Hi @AQUINOTKD!

Appreciate you taking the time to post.

The “minimum payment” is the minimum amount you pay to keep your loan in good standing. Your repayment rate will continue to be applied to your daily card sales even if your minimum payment has been met. We are unable to lower or stop your repayment rate outlined in your loan agreement.

Hope that helps, please feel free to reach out to us directly if you have any other questions!

My 4th loan has been paid off since 12/15, still no offer. I would have had my 5th almost paid off by now as well. I heard they r doing soft credit checks now. I was so happy when they offered a guy like me, that had some financial issues a loan. I paid all 4 off early, and now am probably deemed a risk? I now have no reason to use square as much because i haven't gotten another loan. When u get 4 loans in a row, pay early, you tend to start to rely on them. Square needs to do better for their good customers who always pay ontime.

Square has always did soft credit check as I’m aware of, but they don’t go by that, they go by how well your business is doing and the swipes, really all that matter is the swipes and if all the metrics are green just about

They have since I started with them. I think I remember once it came across my credit monitoring service. It’s more so on your ability to pay back what they are offering vs your credit score. Square really does use your prior history with them and past loans to go off. We have all seen great offers or that one that just baffles you? With no guarantee of if or when you either accept or not. They normally work themselves out and the next offer is much better. Keep the negatives down, keep swiping and hopefully, it will be soon.

Square has always been able to do a soft pull. I would probably use the term “randomly” could. 8-9 years with Square and loans, I should say, one time I remember seeing it come across my credit monitoring service. If I read that correctly you are loan #4. Loan 4-6 for myself and others were are longest waiting time. The algorithm is just gathering data and getting a good feel for your processing history and habits. Your history with Square is very important as well. Everything you said about previous loans sounds amazing, this plays a big factor. Hold tight, it’s been a little slower lately. Please, keep us posted!

It’s been unusually quiet? Winter months are always tough to gauge with so many businesses being seasonal. I’ve seen a few in the 80% range, but mostly high to paid off. Good luck and hopefully soon. Nice to see you though!

It was on a pretty good stretch of approvals, until about Christmas week. Those Holiday that land on a Wednesday is hard. Since then it’s just been trickling in 😩 at least for those that post on here. I went back and looked at previous loans for my business and I believe I have ever had a loan in December? I don’t take every loan either, so I might have had offers. Jan and Feb yes, those are my biggest months. Hopefully, this kicks in fast!

Paid off and I think since early last year with those dispute it may be affecting me, says needs work, already been closed two was in my favor the other two wasn’t, went to court he end up having to pay me back. So really it was all in my favor I guess square sees it differently. Still no loan offer.

Hello, besides that is everything going good? Business is steady etc, still swiping cards, new business coming in. You know all about this stuff so I don’t have to go over all that information. You help here more than anyone else and always have a great attitude. Let me tag a couple of people and see if you can send in some information regarding this and see if they can help get that needs work taken care of with your court paperwork in your favor. All Square can see is what is on there end hun. With the information and paperwork to back up the other disputes it could help. It’s worth a good shot and can’t hurt. @Abby_M would sending in outside information help here? Thank you so much. @Mpechlys let @abbeyc reach out to you privately and explain yes, you do have 2 disputes but you won in court and if anyone can help you or get you in the right hands she can. I would like to thank you for all your help and support back here. You’ve helped so many people. Let Square help you now. Good luck and hopefully by sending in your information that will help.

This is the part I don't care for 😔 when a computer takes over and you lose that human touch. I understand that there are millions of users swiping every day, but if you are 100% paid off and it's been weeks or months, you should be able to request a manual review, IMO. I'm watching and waiting for you too!

Finally got one Thursday after sending multiple/new invoices.

Not sure if this will help anyone or if this is how & why I got an offer after being paid off for some time and everything was green.

I had a T-shirt sale that day and instead of letting them checkout on website, I made the customers comment on group post and I sent invoices. Sale triggered more card processing and generated about 10/15 new customers and remaining returning.

I started invoicing at 9 that morning and by 11:30am I had an offer pop up while doing so. Accepted the offer (it was small but much needed & thankful) and within 15 minutes it was approved and in my Square checking account.

Congratulations! That is exactly what I do! I run a sale on Thursday /Saturday and kick in those swipes and 9/10 times it's late Friday and an offer comes in. When you increase swipes 2-4 times above normal and new customers that algorithm is going to ping off something for a 2nd look. Good for you! It's not always the dollar amount we want but if it helps fill that gap between a bigger offer than it win in my book. Way to work it in your favor. 👏👏👏👏

Same.  If I Run a sale and go over my normal it almost always triggers a new offer

Paid off my loan on Oct. 27th 2025. I’ve only had one charge back and it was decided in my favor.  I’ve been waiting and waiting but every time I reach out I get nothing. I’m starting to give up and want to move over to Shopify maybe. I know they have a loan

program also or PayPal.

I think the chargebacks is the issue, on my 4th loan and I had one customer 4 charge back two in my favor, the other two had to take him to court, end up in my favor as well. Loan paid off two weeks ago no offer yet

The charge back happened in July of 2025 it shouldn’t even be affecting anything. I’m over it

Considering the charge back is in July, I read other post some say 12 month til it falls off, some say quarterly, if it is quarterly mines would have fell off, but still shows needs work on my dashboard, so I want to assume and say it’s 12 months before the needs work goes back to green
