December 2025 Square Loans

This is my 18th loan with square, these loans have helped build my business tremendously since 2019. my lowest offer being 2100 to now paying off my highest of 38,900 - 80% paid off - always early pay off before the due date metrics.. I know the usual square verbiage "no guarantee of an offer, must be 3/4th paid for any hopes" etc.. just wondering if anyone please in similar shoes as me, has seen an offer in December yet? I desperately need this holiday boost , all metrics green and I could almost swear id have one by now .. usually I hit from lowest 54% to highest 87% but majority have been BEFORE hitting 80%... getting anxious. Anybody getting a loan recently?

Hi @beautyspabrow

Thanks for posting on the Seller Community.

We appreciate your loyalty when choosing to partner with Square for your past business loans. We understand that not being immediately eligible can be frustrating, but we are unable to override the automatic review process. Offers are based on many business factors including, but not limited to, your current payment processing volume, your customer mix, and your Square account history. At this time, we can’t predict if or when your business may be eligible for an additional Square Loan. That could be the loan number you’re on as well. About loan 4-6 is where Square is really figuring out your processing patterns. It’s been 8 years or so since I was there but those were my longest wait times and also my biggest increases till that point.  Good luck!

I second this!  Around the 4th loan is where I saw my biggest wait time too.   It was 6 mo paid off before I received a new offer BUT I am seasonal so it was during my slow time I waited the most.      After that my offers increased and came sooner

I was reading through the Square Loans page details, and read that Square has started doing soft credit pulls for loan eligibility. It now makes sense why there seems to be less loans, longer renewal times, and lesser approval amounts.

Just paid off my loan 10 minutes ago!! Although the money would be helpful, I may just start putting an extra 16% into savings so that I dont have to pay a loan fee and in a few months I'll have the money.

@Jerrysbar I do that all the time for small projects or goals that are immediate needs.  It's definitely the most financially literate thing anyone can do to really help jump-start their business.  I took out my most recent (rather large) Square Loan to force myself to retire some ill-advised debt within 12-18 months.  That's pretty much the only reason I'll ever get a Square Loan anymore.  I recently added up all of the interest I've paid over the 13+ years in my current business.  Let's just say that I hate myself, now, thinking about everything I could have done with that wasted money!

Of course, loans are sometimes needed and wise, for sure.  But to live or die by them is pretty much the road to business ruin.  Good for you!
