December 2025 Square Loans

This is my 18th loan with square, these loans have helped build my business tremendously since 2019. my lowest offer being 2100 to now paying off my highest of 38,900 - 80% paid off - always early pay off before the due date metrics.. I know the usual square verbiage "no guarantee of an offer, must be 3/4th paid for any hopes" etc.. just wondering if anyone please in similar shoes as me, has seen an offer in December yet? I desperately need this holiday boost , all metrics green and I could almost swear id have one by now .. usually I hit from lowest 54% to highest 87% but majority have been BEFORE hitting 80%... getting anxious. Anybody getting a loan recently?

Hi @beautyspabrow

Thanks for posting on the Seller Community.

We appreciate your loyalty when choosing to partner with Square for your past business loans. We understand that not being immediately eligible can be frustrating, but we are unable to override the automatic review process. Offers are based on many business factors including, but not limited to, your current payment processing volume, your customer mix, and your Square account history. At this time, we can’t predict if or when your business may be eligible for an additional Square Loan. Trust me, I feel your pain but with us it’s more because we’ve already been to court. We had to pay $10k by today or move. Rent is so high here and my husband’s income at work took a dive at the same time that I got sick for months and eventually had a stroke. So we’re severely behind and have no options left. Inventory getting low and no loan to help replenish. Good luck. I’m just praying for a miracle.

Thank you for your post, @SHK25!

Unfortunately on my side, I have limited information on the Square Loans process, but I am going to go ahead and tag in a few of our Loans experts and see they can provide some additional insight on this.

@marielmt and @Abby_M, could you all please take a look into this Seller's inquiry, please?

Being a public forum, they won't be able to help you out much specifically on here since it involves account specifics.  Unfortunately in your situation you can either not take the offer, and hope another one comes in later on once that one expires. If you don't plan on seeing an increase in sales/swipes/customer mix over the next 14 days, I wouldn't bet the offer (if another one comes) would be much higher.

If you don't need it, I definitely wouldn't take it, no point in paying fees for an amount that a credit card with 0% interest can't cover.

Something is good yes.... I'm still going to lose my home.

Ever since March each loan has only went up 500 760 1000 1400 1700 2100 then 2400

Now it dropped to $600.00

Didn't plan for this or have any inkling this would happen.

Totally hear you. It’s frustrating either way — especially when you’re used to higher offers and plan around them. Hopefully Square starts rolling out better offers for everyone soon 🤞

Hi all. I recently took out my first square loan and paid it back in 2 months. Super early.. not been ask to do another yet, but. Here’s where I get confused…

anyday that I have a “slow day”, to where my numbers are lower that day- vs that day for the prior week, it will out “needs work”, at the processing volume report.

will that stop me from getting a loan? I only ask because you can’t control if a day is slower or you just don’t do more than the previous week. I guess I’m just confused

Hi @Sweetpeach25  welcome to the Square Community.

In a nutshell, yes that would effect eligibility for future loans.  Here is some reading on loans that you can take a look at.  The metrics page that you are referring to in your Dashboard should only be used as a very general guide on where you stand even If everything is green that does not mean that you will get an offer.  I say this because there is a lot of confusion here based on those metrics.  If you look at the banking boards in this forum or even search "square loan square community", you can see many data points from other sellers about the loans.

My best advice that I can give you when it comes to a Square loan is to not depend on them and not to assume you will get another one when one is paid off.  Keep conducting business as usual, growing your business.

Hey everyone,

I just paid off my Square loan in full 🎉 but I’m not able to check my eligibility or see any requirements for future funding in my dashboard yet. (This has been like this for the last month or so before hand it would show my requirements or things I need to work on etc)

Has anyone else run into this after paying off a loan?

  • How long did it take for eligibility to update?
  • Did it eventually show on its own, or did you have to contact Square support?
  • Was there anything specific you had to improve (processing volume, consistency, etc.) before it showed again?

Just trying to figure out what to expect and what I should be working on in the meantime. Any insight would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

HI @Moody

Congrats on paying off your loan.  If it was a manual payment for the last payment I believe it will take about 10 business days to clear and the algorithm to kick back in before potentially being eligible again.  As for the eligibility factors page not displaying properly, you can try to access it in a different browser or in incognito mode to see if it is simply a cache issue with your current browser.  If that doesn't work you may need to get in touch with support to put a ticket in.

Restaurant business here. I’m currently paying off my 7th loan and am at 87% paid. All eligibility factors are green. My processing volume is about $88K since December of last year. I’ll keep you updated once I receive the offer email

When you do, I'm curious to see if they offer you higher. I haven't seen anyone receive a higher offer in months.

The first of December and the 3rd if I remember correctly both were hold outs from a lower offer than the previous one. Was a good size offer and the other was 3-4k higher roughly. That was it.
