more to 2 decimals for item cost and price

more to 2 decimals for item cost and price

I have several items in my store that I buy in bulk and I sell in bulk by each.  While I list price points, the price for each item both for my cost and for my sell price.  As an example.  I have an item I sell a quantity of 12 for $5  sometimes customers will ask for 15 or 20.  the same item is then reduced when purchasing over 40 or over 80.  At a quantity of 80 the cost is $22.  I commonly get requested counts of 100, 120, 125 etc.  The way I would like it set up would be to type in the quantity and it would calculate the cost needed.  Even better would have this ability for price points to be built in, then I do not need to manually select the price break items/variations.

While being able to get the cost per item correct as well, it is not as important as I need the pricing for when I ring up the customer.  Also, if the ability to insert the price points for quantity does happen, it would also be nice if the they could have the option to be cumulative with the other variation with that have to same quantity price points.   Example  Price break is at quantity at 10 and more but they want 5 small and 5 medium.  being they are getting a total of 10, be able to give them the 10+ rate.

Hey @Tahafisaka

That’s an excellent feature request. We appreciate you sharing your business use case and why it would be valuable for you. Our new Ideate board is a great place to post these kinds of requests as it's visible to our product team. Our Square Retail team would have to dig into this a little more.

In the meantime, if you know of any fellow Seller Community members who would like to see this built out as well, feel free to tag them in your post so they can share their thoughts.

Thanks for your feedback. Have a wonderful day.

@Tahafisaka  I have a similar kind of request as we buy wine in boxes of 12 bottles usually. But we sell them as singles. It would be nice to match our invoices from the distributor saying we got 3 cases vs having to enter 36 bottles. And it know if i sell it by the case sku or bottle sku how many to correctly remove. The limitation seems to come with receiving as it wouldn’t allow us to receive one bottle of something we had in as a case with the different units.

Yes, that is another issue as well..  my issue is more of some items when purchased in bulk are not an even penny amount, example could be $0.3325  If I sell at .33 I loose our on a small profit, if I sell at .34 i charge the customer too much.  I sell thousands of these items.  yes, it is only a small amount,  so then square should just charge 2 percent instead of 2.6 percent because that is also less than a penny for each dollar.  in this case I would basically be loosing 0.75% of my sales.  As anyone whom is paying squares fees, knows this adds up.
