Square Online - Digital downloads from website or automated email

I like that the square online store has an item type for Digital Products, however manual fulfillment of this is not very efficient. Particularly when customers expect instant delivery/access to dogital products.

I would love to see Digital Product with its own customised automated email that we can either include a specific link or file for the customer.

I'm disappointed that thia thread has been active since early 2020 and it ia now the end of 2022 and still no progress.

 

This seems like a very basic feature to integrate, other providers, as mentioned previously seem to add this straight up.

 

So many comments worldwide and still no action?

Im Struggling to create an automated flow for digital product delivery - its essential for my business. 

Any recommendations? Im struggling with active campaign integrations.

We need to work on our automated confirmation emails.

 

"Your downloadable file will be sent to you soon in a separate email. If you have any questions, please contact us."

This is the email that is automatically sent when a digital product is purchased.

 

Why can't we personalise this?

 

A function to change this wording - to our own words and phrases - we need this!

I've gone ahead and merged your post with an existing thread here in Australia where we continue to track the feedback we receive for this request.

While I don't have any further news to share on the development of this feature, we continue to advocate for this with our Product Team and will be sure to tag and comment in this thread once we have an update to share.

Read the thread from 2020 and still no update. People expect to access the digital download INSTANTLY and not wait for the seller to send them the link manually. Wat if we the seller and buyer are in opposite time zones? In the process of setting up shop and disappointed to discover this. 

There is Bitship which is the only option I've seen for instant digital delivery and Square intergrations. 

Adding to this chain to voice my frustration here.

The auto-downloads for my customers was one of the main reasons I went with Weebly in the first place. The fact that there IS a mechanism for adding DIGITAL items BUT NO AUTOMATIC DOWNLOAD FOR OUR CLIENTS IS UNFATHOMABLE. Not only is this oversight frustrating it is ableist and turns what should be passive income (the simple sale of ebooks, pdfs, digital art, build plans...etc) into active income. Please fix this ASAP. This thread has been going for FOUR YEARS. 

I'm just reading this thread and realising this is a big problem for so many users. I need an automatic digital email that will send as soon as a sale is made. I used to have draft emails set up that I could simply send when someone purchased, but since the marketing campagin has switched over, all my emails have been deleted! I emailed support when I first got the news about the changes to marketing and asked if there was a way to integrate my drafts to the new system and never heard back. Now all my semi automated digital product emails are gone and I have no idea how else to send my products simply! The new marketing campaign doesn't allow me to make my own emails, I have to chose one of the marketing themes. This is not OK!
