Split bill by items

Hey guys, 

I do think the addition of splitting bills by product items would be a great addition to the restaurant POS. 

In saying this, the bill needs to have the option once it's been split, to save how much has been paid  instead of forcing the payment to occur. We have customers leaving a group and want to pay for their items.

I second this product feature request.

As a bar and restaurant, when we do split billing, we print the bill and have to do some quick calculations for the items that different people ordered.

The ability to select items rather than type a customer number would be fantastic.  

Johnny ordered a coke and burger, and sally ordered the steak and wine. pick the wine, pick the steak, pay.

This would be greatly needed in our restaurant/bar business.
Currently when taking multiple orders of food, to keep the food items on the same docket to make the kitchens life easier, we have to manually input payment and at the end of the table cash out the table so our end of day is always way out of wack.

Any ideas or otherways around doing this that you have come up with?

Yes agree, really need a pay by item option that is easy to use, instead of splitting off items to another bill.  Clunky.
