Preferred Name

Hi team!

I’ve just signed up for square as a small business owner and would like to encourage you to have a function for owners to use their preferred name. I’m more than happy to use my legal name for verification however it’s frustrating that this appears on all communications when it’s not the name I go by or use. It would strengthen your inclusivity to allow for someone to use their chosen name

Thanks for writing in with this suggestion! 

Allowing sellers to edit account names is currently a feature request, but if you're using Square Appointments you can edit your display name, which is the name your clients would see when making a booking and the name they'll see in all communications that are sent out to them. To edit your display name, head to Appointments > Staff > select a staff profile > add a display name under Visibility & Display and click Save once you're done. You can also add a photo and calendar colour from here.

Hi team! Thanks for this and great to know we can edit the name for communications to our clients! It would be a great feature is this was available for all communications including ones we receive form you too
