Payroll Process issue

For two pay periods, Square failed to process my payroll. Now Im having to pay taxes and paychecks manually. Square is claiming failed debit due to insufficient funds which is far from reality. What is happening with Square payroll. Is it time to shop for another company?

I wrote to the Comptroller of Maryland and they replied that a withholding tax return is required with ACH payments. It has been 3 weeks and this has still not been resolved.

Hello Everyone. Update regarding my initial post. After multiple times of trying to resolve payroll with Square. I decided that I can no longer tolerate the lack of support and response. I haven’t received any explanation on why they did not pay my payroll taxes and missed paying my employees. I can no longer afford to gamble and hope that my employees get paid and my taxes are processed. I am now using PayChex. They have a dedicated support person that you can contact directly. They go through onboarding process with you specially if you’re a new business owner. They are a bit more than Square but less than other competitors, depending on which package you go for. They have more options on there site for HR info, employee recruitment and records. Definitely 1000% better and more support than Square.
