INTEGRATION THAT WORKS!

INTEGRATION THAT WORKS!

I am utterly confused by this merge.  I had a business a few years ago before Square took over Weebly. I made my website using Weebly and my email/account.  My wife then started a business last year and i used my Weebly account to make her a website.  She then decided to take payments using Square so opened a SquareUp account.  Now we want to sell physical products via ecom on her page so need to add an ecom page to her site using HER Squareup account on MY Weebly made website.  This seems impossible.  I subscribed to Square Online for £12 a month to create an ecom page which I now discover may not be linkable to the Weebly site and on top of that doesn't offer shipping??!!  This is a sh1tshow of an arrangement.  I am paying £12 to Square Online and I can't include shipping?  Am I right or is this wrong? I am 58 and trying to cope with all this tech but it's confusing the hell out of me!

The blurb about the merge from Square is that it will all be integrated seamlessly.  I am afraid that's not the case from my perspective.

i am a 58 year old man with my fingernails scraping down the chalkboard of technology so maybe i am misunderstanding something but shouldn't it be easier than this?

Any help appreciated!

Hi @Jemski, thanks for raising this in the Community and I'm sorry to hear how difficult this has been.

A while ago, Square and Weebly fully merged and doing so required any existing Weebly users to create a Square Online account.

I'm trying to wrap my head around the two accounts here, if possible can you share links, or give me some more details about both, thanks!

Both of them should now have a Square Online site and shipping is an unpaid feature so there shouldn't be anything preventing that from being set up.

Hi Alegra

After talking to three of your operatives on the phone with no joy and being told it couldn't be done, I finally spoke to an amazing chap called Josh in Illinois who helped me make a Square online page and link it to the Weebly site.  Not ideal as it takes the visitor to another URL but I can live with that.  We also sorted out the shipping which seems to work!

It has been a mind melting exercise but I think I have reached a point i can accept.  It's a shame the operatives i spoke to before Josh didn't have the full knowledge that he did.

I would still prefer to have it all under Square for two reasons.  Simplicity and apparently I now have to pay Weebly as well to get rid of the banner that comes with a free site.  But I am paying Square so there should be some leeway there.

If I could copy and paste my Weebly site to Square that would be great as the Weebly building system is far superior to the Square one which I find very limiting.  Never mind.

Hi @Jemski, thanks for following up here.

I'm relieved to hear you got through and everything is maybe not perfect but at least functioning now.

I'll be sure to pass your feedback on both topics to the relevant teams too, I know Weebly/Square is not an easy thing to get the head around.

Let me know if there's anything I can do going forward!

Thanks Alegra.  Just a quickie.  I have my sideline business under the same weebly account but am happy to rebuild in in Square under my wife's account.  Does our Pro plan subscription cover two websites?

Square

I had a look @Jemski, and even though you could add multiple sites to one Square account, your subscription pays per site. So this would require you to pay twice if you were to set it up.
