I have a generic no name USB Barcode scanner purchased several years ago for use in my Karate club. I have used it to read Student ID barcodes, product barcodes etc in numerous applications (Word, Excel, Quickbooks/Reckon Online and several Dojo Management software apps) without any issues. (Will read barcodes created by myself or those on products off the shelf)
Square POS/Online will not recognise my USB Barcode scanner either on my Laptop or Samsung Galaxy S6 Tablet (with genuine Samsung OTG adaptor).
Being a small club, money is tight and why should I purchase another scanner when I have a perfectly working scanner already but not with Square.
When will Square give people the option to use existing scanners or purchase low cost units that aren't on the "Supported" list?
