Feature Request: Square Gift Card and eGift Card redemption via a third-party website

The title of this post has been edited from the original: Can Square gift cards be used in my Wix site?

We use Wix to host our small business website and just upgraded to their online store functionality becuase it gave us the ability to customize and look like a cohesive party of our website.

We are still using Square to process our payments. We were wondering if Square gift cards and discount codes can still be redeemed on our website?

We've been really happy with our service with Square but really need more customization for selling our classes. Any help is appreciated! Thank you!

Alright. Let's make this thing : )

Can you DM us your email and phone number, so we can get a quick zoom or conference call put together where we can quickly get every one's use case needs, so we can try to make it in the most versatile way to work for everyone?

Thanks,

Alright everyone. We're going to make this thing (ie. the E-Giftcard Plugin for Woo Commerce) : )

Can you all DM us (I think you can hover over our name and click message) your email and phone number, so we can get a quick zoom or conference call put together where we can quickly get every one's use case needs, so we can try to make it in the most versatile way to work for everyone?

Once we start to create the functions for the API, we might as well make it as a stand-alone too - meaning it'll work for WooCommerce and everything else.

Thanks,

Actually, the standard woo square plugin can take gift cards just fine. The only issue is that the exp date and cvv code are required so users have to enter fake data for that.

That's terrific! Can anyone else confirm? I've never sold any gift cards, but I would love to integrate them into my store.

Hey PreOrder, what's going on with this?

Did it happen?

Hope we can make this happen!

I can confirm that this works. However, it would be extremely difficult to instruct a user on how to do this. Basically, make up an expiration date sometime in the future, make up a CVV code, I use 123, don't save the card for future use (or maybe you can if it's got a large amount remaining on it).  The credit card picture still has a red slash through it like it's invalid, tell customer to ignore this.

Bottomline: it works, but it's not customer friendly at all.
