Feature Request: Schedule classes + group sessions + multiple clients during one time slot

The title of this post has been edited from the original: Use Square Appointments to schedule classes or group sessions?

Has anyone successfully used Appointments to schedule classes taught to clients/gneeral public?  Looking for tips. Thanks!

@Tom This feature request has been tracking for 4 1/2 years now; this is a pretty simple enhancement from a coding perspective. Square is the premiere vendor for small business and this feature should be built by now.

I agree that Square needs to create the option for scheduling group classes on line. I’ve been using Square as point of sale for over a year, and love it. The only down side Ive experienced for my particular business (LMT, cupping and Reiki) is no option for clients to book classes. Since the pandemic, I haven’t offered classes but will be again soon; and I’m wondering how I’m gonna do that since Square does t have that option yet.

It's just a shame honeslty from a big app like Square. They have gift card, everything, but a good reservations system. Their revenue would be 2x higher if they did this from the beggining. It take an complete afternoon to code, I don't know why it so difficult for them as a big company to do it. 4 years and half, and nothing is done here.

Stilllllllllllllllllllll waiting.  It's actually comical this isn't a thing.

I'm adding our business to this thread too. We love so much about Square and am quite surprised that our customers cannot book appointments at the same time of the day.  It is all due to Covid that we are having to use bookings and we were using various other companies before Square that did this. PLEASE spend some time looking at this Square as classes would only require a few tweaks to the variants to be able to do this x

For my museum, in light of COVID, we're offering timed tickets allowing a maximum of six visitors per half-hour slot. I've read suggestions that resources, assigned to services, can accomplish this -- but it's not working.

I've created six "time slot" resources and assigned them to a "timed ticket" service. When one ticket is purchased, the system indicates one of six resources has been used...allowing five more concurrent bookings, in theory.  But instead, purchasing one ticket fully books that time slot.

(I know I can set multiple concurrent bookings through the back-end, but bookings must be done by the public.)

Any ideas?

Just adding my voice, even though it seems futile at this point. The fact that Square hasn’t added this feature in four years is really mind blowing. Hoping for an update this year, otherwise my growing team will have to switch software. Really want to stick with Square, but why struggle with a workaround when we don’t have to?

@Danceavl - thanks for adding your voice here. We take your feedback seriously, and will continue to pass it along to our Product Managers who plan rollouts of new features. We hope to have some good news on this front in the near future. Thanks for hanging with us.

Well Joe,

I've been watching this thread for AGES.  Unless we get some kind of response other than now 4 years of "we are listening to you adn take you seriously" all while doing nothing to actually address the problem OR - if Square is - not letting any of us know, then you'll continue to have people leave and go to other platforms that takes a 5 year, constantly updated and requested, thread seriously.

It cannot be a coding thing - as other platforms allow this.  It seems to be a square-doesn't-really-want-to-do-anything-about-it thing.

I'm tired of hearing the responses that are just placating and don't offer any solutions. I've tweeted this out to the heads of Square (and subsequently also Twitter, as Jack is both).  MAYBE someone higher than forum responders will see this is a needed and FIVE YEAR OLD thread????  Please, if you are part of this request thread, go retweet it.  Maybe we can grab some attentions.
