Feature Request: Print customer's delivery address on receipt for delivery driver

The title of this post has been edited from the original: Does square have any good platforms for in house delivery pizza restaurants?

 

I am trying to get my customer's addresses and phone numbers to print on the receipts as they do at Papa Johns, Pizza Hut, Hungry Howies, and all other pizza shops so my drivers know where to deliver my customer's food. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you and God Bless.

While this is currently considered a feature request, we'll be sure to pop back with an update when we have one.

Can we please have this feature implemented ASAP. Especially now that we are doing only pickup and delivery, not having to enter customer address every time they place a repeat order could increase efficiency. Actually one of my customer was annoyed that she had to repeat the her address she was like "Why can't you just save my address knowing that I am ordering so many times"

@Station16Pizza @Mid-Cen Thanks for your feedback on this - I oversee the Digital Receipts product. As mentioned above, we unfortunately can't include the address on a digital receipt, as there is a web page for each digital receipt that is sent out, and if we were to include a customer's address on it there is a risk that this information could be found online.

 

However, it sounds like as long as you could print the address on a kitchen ticket or a POS printed receipt that would solve your problem. Is this correct?

This seems to have been a problem forever.  I am about to start delivering and I'm not sure how square can be effective if I can't print the address on the tickets.  I could enter them each time in notes but that will take a lot of time when the address would already be there for repeat customers.  I needs to self populate to work correctly.  It seems they don't see it that way.  People have been asking for this feature for several years.  I have loved square since I opened this business and have recommended it to others as well.  I'm just not sure how to proceed.

We use Square for Restaurant and it has "Edit Dining Option" which allows us to switch Order Type between Pickup and Delivery.

 

When we are taking delivery orders over the phone, there's no space to put the delivery address except for the notes.

 

What we would like is a place to input an address (should also be checked for validity), the distance from the store, and the time it would take to get there (including traffic) so we can give a better time estimate for the order.

 

Right now, we are doing all this on our cellphone and it's very inconvenient.

Any update on this feature?

 

It has been over 2 years.

 

We just need an input box to put the delivery address (with validation of course) and it should tell us the distance and time (with traffic) to the address. Please. We take a lot of delivery orders due to the COVID-19 pandemic and it's a hassle having to do this on our cellphone every time we take a phone order.

These would be considered feature requests at this time - however, it sounds like you may want to consider setting up your Square Online website to allow customers to place delivery orders online in the meantime. Did you know you can do this?


Your customers have a place to enter in their delivery address, which is checked for validity and proximity to your location when they order online:

 

 

You also have the option to include a delivery estimate:

 

It sounds like continuing to include delivery information in the notes section for phone orders is the best way to move forward if you'd prefer not to utilize online ordering. In the future, if we introduce online delivery features to the POS app, I'll be sure to pop back here with an update!

We do have Square Online pickup and delivery enabled, but sometimes people just prefer ordering on the phone, because they want recommendations or have questions.

 

Most users are using online Delivery.

 

Please integrate this feature ASAP.

Thanks for responding and sorry for delay. I didn't see your post in this thread. To answer your questions, yes, what we need is the customer address and phone number on the receipt. When we sell something, online or in store, we need to be able to mark that item as sold and we need to know name, phone number, address for delivery. We still currently have to use this workaround of putting customer info in the notes, however, this is not great because then we don't capture the customer info in the contact database. 

Please let me know if there are any updates on this that will help us manage our inventory post-sale.
