Feature Request - Item Packages / Bundles / Grouping

I'd like to suggest a feature of Grouping items together into "Packages" so that when I'm selling a client a standard set of items all i need to do is select the package that applies and then if necessary go into that package and modify the item based on if the client wants more or less, or a different variation/modifier on that item

We're excited to share that we have recently launched Bundles with Square for Retail Plus!

If you missed it, you can read our announcement here. This feature allows you to combine multiple components into one item bundle and sell those items together while still having the ability to track inventory of the individual components.

This feature is currently available in all regions for Square for Retail Plus sellers. We’ll also be adding this feature for Square Online Plus sellers sometime later in August.

We're yet to implement bundle into Square Point of Sale, however we are starting to implement features to meet this need in Square for Retail Plus. We recently launched the ability to bundle multiple single items together at different price points, read more about this here. Hopefully we'll see this expanded in the future to bundles of different items, though I don't have an ETA on when. 

We'll update this thread once we have further news to share here!

Another request for bundling as I would like to sell a bundle of six items so that the customer can pick which six designs they get. I need this feature in person and online. Please add some options to help in this scenario

Thank you for letting us know this is something you'd like to see, @Aramania. While we don't have this exact feature yet, we've recently launched the option to bundle items for Square for Retail, which is a step into this direction! Learn more here.

Hi guys,  

I'd like to add my request to this thread to hopefully get the developers to work on this.  I also want to be able to sell bundles in my shop.  I have 15 items in my shop that I would like to be able to bundle together into one "product bundle", so when the customer clicks on this one bundle, then he gets a selection of say 5 of my items, but that's once the customer buys this bundle, those individual items come off the inventory.  At the moment I have to create a separate "item", call it a "xxxx bundle" and when they order it I have to manually take the items off the inventory, which is very time consuming.  

It would also be great if they can also "build their own bundle", so I can have a "5 items bundle" at a discounted price, and the customer selects their own items to add to this bundle (and they are automatically taken off the inventory).  Hope this becomes a feature soon.  Thank you!

We've included the current workarounds for this feature request for Square Point of Sale in our top answer. If you're using Square Online, keep in mind you'll be wanting to set up Coupons rather than Discounts. 

In the meantime, let us know if you want to have a go at setting up a coupon. Otherwise, we'll continue to track this feature request and will be sure to update everyone in this thread once more information is received.

Item package/bundle/kits creation is a must have function there days in any business. Can anyone from square update me if this feature is in development, if so what would be the release date? This is a bad miss from my side when evaluating square because all competitor products seems to be having it.

Bundles for hospitality would be great. We'd like to run bundles like a coke and a meal or buy two drinks and get them for a cheaper price. 

Pretty much everything that the big chains do. Service stations are great at the bundle, two bottles of water for $6. instead of $4.50 for 1.

Bundles would help boost our per ticket spend from customers so I see a significant opportunity for additional income for Square that is being missed by not having this feature. If I could increase my sale amount by 10% by bundling and upselling to the bundle how much would square benefit on the back of that. 

I know product suppliers in the food and beverage game have marketing materials ready to go for this bundling, hopefully I've made a bit of a case that may sway Square to move on this opportunity.

This is not a good to have feature, a must have. Adding items one by one is not a solution. This is a major gap in Square because the competitive products have this function.
