Feature Request - Item Packages / Bundles / Grouping

I'd like to suggest a feature of Grouping items together into "Packages" so that when I'm selling a client a standard set of items all i need to do is select the package that applies and then if necessary go into that package and modify the item based on if the client wants more or less, or a different variation/modifier on that item

This feature is currently available in all regions for Square for Retail Plus sellers. We’ll also be adding this feature for Square Online Plus sellers sometime later in August.

Discounts for Square Online are also something we're looking to improve, @crochetbybrewer - for example, Square Online, and Point of Sale discounts syncing 🤞

How are “bundles” or “packages” still not a thing for square online? 

It should be a simple feature to build and has been asked for years. If customer buys product A, B, C and D, then apply this discount. 

All the work arounds provided are only for transactions in person, or are tedious for the customer or don’t track inventory. 

It’s very frustrating. While it’s good I can do a discount for in person transactions, it limits my sales online, which isn’t good in this day and age. This is one of the reasons I’m looking to move away from Square.

I know how popular this feature request is, and we're continuing to highlight the need for more comprehensive discounts with our product team. At this time, we can't share a timeline of when this might become available. I know that this isn't the news you're hoping for, but I understand that you need to make decisions with your business needs in mind. Hopefully, this is something we can share an update about soon.

I have been using square for over an year. I have raised several feature requests, very basic functions that are missing. I get this same reply from support via emails and as replies.. "it will be reviewed by the product team".

So far, I have not seen any feature upgrades in square. It literally looks like there was the 1st release of software done by a product team and retired.. then there is a team doing maintenance work just up-keeping it.

This kind of software needs new features, gaps fixed deployed in an incremental basis by following an agile development methodology.

I am using this simply because it has a good payment gateway integration/device, as well as square devices are solid, like Mac computers, so less maintenance headache if you have multiple locations. That's all about it.

Functions are very very basic. Most of the time you have to have work-a rounds.

Never wait for square replies about new functions and features to eventuate. It hasn't happened last 12 months. That's my 2 cents on square experience.

kind of frustrating, I am considering leaving because of this as our customers want to be able to redeem their prepaid sessions against a booking, and it would make our lives a lot easier.

I understand your frustration and am sorry for not having an update on this feature request, @crah. We're continuing to highlight the feedback we receive with our team for consideration.

so... this feature request is from 2019... and its currently halfway through 2023 and this STILL doesnt exist? its pretty darn basic?

Do these bundles sync through to my Square terminal as an item to be able to sell the bundle in person, or only online?

When signing in to your Square Terminal, make sure to select Retail (and be on the Retail Plus plan) in order to access this feature, @zau90. There is a 30-day free trial if you haven't tried Square for Retail already 🙂
