Feature Request - Group Bookings for Square Appointments

I run a variety of exercise services.  A weekend bootcamp that goes for 8 weeks each so once people sign up they are automatically in for the next 8 weeks.

 

Kids bootcamp which are only on at set times each week based on age group.

 

And then one-to-one personal training which I have a few appointments a week available.

 

I am struggling to organise the various bookings on Square.  Is it possible to have one service that is booked and paid for once every 8 weeks.  

 

The kids bootcamp people can sign up each week but I can't work out how to limit the two sessions to only one particular age group.

 

The one-to-one sessions are okay, I've managed to get those done. 

 

Any advice appreciated.  TIA

At the moment group bookings are not available via Square Appointments, though I've moved your post to this Feature Request thread where we're tracking feedback for it.

 

Sorry I can't be of more help here for now! I'll update this thread if I hear of any news about this feature.

While I can't guarantee a timeframe, the more examples we have to present a case for this feature, the stronger a case we can make!

I've moved your message to this thread where we're tracking the requests for group booking functionality with Square Appointments. If this changes in the future I'll tag you in this thread as a heads up.

 

We are a winery and would like to book group wine tastings.  We would like the ability to allow guests to book a small or large group with a per person price. Adding a group booking feature would be a huge plus. Unfortunately, we are having to look into alternate app services that have this feature.

Okay thank you. I wanted to also ask, is there any option where I can allow classes for booking of up to 3 people per class?

Not at the moment unfortunately, however I've moved your post to this thread we're we are currently tracking this as a feature request. I'll update this thread if things change in the future. Group booking has been a popular request, so I do hope it's something we're able to built into Appointments in the future.

Hi, is it possible to setup appointments to accept more than one online service booking for a full day without setting specific booking times.

eg i want to be able to setup online booking so that 2 separate customers can book in a service on the same day both with the same default start and finish times?

You can also consider the workaround in the top answer in this thread, which would require allocation of booking resources - let me know if this might help at all.

i've had a look at the resources function, but i can't see how this could work as the online booking still only allows one customer the ability to book in a service for a specific given time.

 

the only work around i can think of that may possibly work might be to set up multiple staff members, however this will incur additional subscription costs, and i don't want to do this as i don't actually have additional staff.

 

I really can't understand why this function has not been made an absolute priority, it just seems like common sense to have it.

@brendanh76 While I can't speak to why specific features have or haven't yet been implemented, I'm happy to pass on the feedback to our Appointments team, and do hope this is one we'll be able to release in the future.

 

In terms of using resources as a workaround, I was thinking along the lines of setting up resources as "Appointment Slot 1" and "Appointment Slot 2". You may then have to manually block out the day as an event in your calendar. It may or may not work for your situation, but just trying to explore every avenue!
