Feature Request: Colour code appointment service types

We've been using Square for nearly 1 year now and love it.  We're now getting an influx of bookings and are looking for an easy way for all staff to see what bookings we have when people enquire.

We have two different bookings: 

1. Exclusive - meaning the client takes our entire venue and it won't be open to anyone else from the public during that time or other bookings
2. Table bookings - which are generally 1, 2  or 3 tables with each table taking around 10 people.

I've been playing around with the appointments and adding the different services - either Exclusive or Table booking.   

Is there a way when we look at the calendar to have the different services colour coded so that staff can more easily see that a booking is exclusive and then tell potential customers that that time is not available for either an exclusive or table booking for them?

We are taking bookings manually, we are not now, nor plan to allow customers to book online.

Edit: and as I start typing the topic title I see someone else has asked for this also.... Hope this adds a bump request for this.   It really would be great.

At this time, colour coding different types of bookings is a feature request with our appointments team. Posting in this forum is a great way to bump requests, as our product teams and engineers monitor our Seller Community for feedback and feature requests like this. 

A workaround you could consider in the meantime would be to create a second staff member, as they can be colour coded. You could then assign each booking type to a different staff. Just keep in mind that you'd need a paid Square Appointments subscription if you've got more than one staff member. 

 

To get started:

 

1. Sign in to your dashboard and head to Appointments > Staff.

 

2. Select > Add Employee.

 

3. Choose an appointment colour, and enter all other details here. Feel free to choose a name and display name correlates to the booking type. 

 

4. Select all services that apply and click Save when you're done. 

 

We'll keep you updated on any news on this feature request, and I've also moved your post to our feature requests board to keep track of it.

Good news! You can now colour code Appointment Service types via your Appointments Dashboard. Go to your Services Dashboard, select one of your services and click on the tile next to the service name to customise the colours they display in. Another seller shared what their colour-coded appointment calendar looks like here.

Hi I want to request a feature on having an option to disable the 10 minute timer when the customer finishes up selecting their date on the booking flow website it’s really frustrating more a lot of my customers @Arie 

 

 possible even being able to change the booking flow button colors instead of blue
