Feature Request: Change locations without logging out

The title of this post has been edited from the original: How to change locations on iPad?

 

I use the same iPad for different "locations".   The only way I can see to change locations is to log off and then log back in and choose the location I want. Is there a way to change locations while logged in?

I moved your post to another thread where a seller was asking for the ability to easily toggle between locations.

 

I definitely hear you on how this is a struggle for businesses that run multiple locations and I'm sorry this is not yet available by other means besides signing out and choosing another location at login.

 

Our Product Team is tracking requests and hopefully this will be something we can improve on in the near future. 

For what it's worth you can add my vote for this feature as well. I have a physical store and mobile sales person who uses an android device and is assigned her own inventory. There is no way to check inventory back at the store from her device easily if a customer asks.

Maybe I’ve just missed how to do it, but as the admin I want to be able to quickly switch between my locations when I’m working in the app. I have the option to create locations, but management of those locations is cumbersome at best. 
I really like using Square for my POS system but tired of the limitations.

currently, there is not a way to "fast switch" or "hot switch" between locations.

 

I too have multiple accounts and multiple locations.  The best answer I have is that using faceID or whatever android has to remember your passwords makes it pretty fast.

It's been 4 years and this still ain't resolved?!

Seems like folks with know-how says it's a quick fix. Why is this taking so long? When will this be available? Please don't say "soon."

Let that be our problem. It's clear that your customers want the ability to switch easily. Why so much push back? It's been 4 years of people begging for this.

@FTPFarms I agree!  We attend 12 different farmers markets and logging in and out is cumbersome

4 pages of people requesting, and 4 years, still no feature. This is such a simple feature to add. I know bc I am a Xamarin developer and I allowed in app switching in our internal mobile app at Service King. This and the fact that android and ios does not share code base is the reason I will eventually move away from Square. You cannot ignore customer feature requests for 3 years and expect people to not leave the platform. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS.

Hi @Stoopered - I can step in and address your concerns. We field thousands of feature requests each week here on the Seller Community, and bringing these features to fruition often takes an ample amount of time and effort from our engineers. We want to ensure that our releases are not just surface level products, but the best all-around resources to help you grow your business.

These requests also span an array of different aspects of our products; some are more major, while some are periphery features. Our Product Teams do have a road-map for future additions to our offering, but the nature of our work includes trial, error, and set-backs. So sharing a timeline would be far from accurate and more than likely cause more confusion and angst. 

We understand that it might be difficult waiting for something to be built out, but our engineers are working on various different requests brought up by our sellers, and working with Apple, Google, and our other partners in order to approve these changes and be able to push them out in future updates.

Hi I am seeing multiple threads all the way back in 2017 requesting this service to be updated in the square app so you can switch back and forth between locations without signing in/out. Is there a reason someone keeps coming on and saying “we’ll pass this info along” and yet no changes have been made?
