Feature Request: Add Keypad to Cash Tender Screen

Hello Squares,

 

I have updated my little square touch screen unit, and since updating when i click "charge" and then "cash" as the payment method the pre-set cash amounts are missing?  so i have to enter exactly how much they are giving me in cash. is that a glitch or part of the update? ITS SUPER ANNOYING!!!!!!!

Thanks for writing in and welcome to the Seller Community! 👋

 

You might just have to set up quick amounts again. Here's how:

 

1. Tap on the three lines in your menu to bring up > More > Settings.

2. Select Checkout > Quick Amounts.

3. Make sure the toggle next to Quick Amounts is turned on and add the amounts you'd like to save. 

 

Also, make sure that you're in the Keypad section of your checkout to access your Quick Amounts.

I'm referring to the payment screen. So have selected my items, clicked ", then charge $", then "cash". That particular screen has NO quick amounts for accepting cash, I have no choice but to manually type in what cash they give me.

I'm with you now, thanks for including this additional information in your reply.


Once your customer has opted to pay with cash, there isn't an option to select a preset cash amount from the tender screen on your Square Terminal. The only option is to manually enter the total amount of cash your customer hands you and then select Tender to finalise the payment.

On the next screen, you will see the amount of change to give your customer at the top of the screen and below this, the option to send them a copy of their receipt.

Adding a preset keypad to this cash tender screen would be considered a feature request at this time. I'm not aware of this having been an option that was previously available on the Square Terminal from my personal experience, however, we can certainly pass on your feedback directly to our Product Team.

Can ypu please tell them it's VERY annoying to have to type in manually how much cash they have given me with EVERY purchase....... I don't think it would be hard for them to do so please let them know my thoughts xoxoxox
