I've gone ahead and merged your post into an existing thread of Sellers who were also looking for information regarding attaching a scanner or other peripheral items to the Terminal via Bluetooth. You are correct here - currently, this ability remains as a long standing Feature Request for the Terminal that our product teams are tracking.

Like @smdiscs I am seriously considering returning the square terminal unless I can connect it to a socket mobile bar code scanner. I run farmers market stalls and I need to be able to use a Bluetooth scanner as power and hence the USB scanner is not an option. Why did Square not think of this? I mean portability of the square is it’s main selling point but if you need to use a scanner you have to be attached to a power socket. That’s crazy when Bluetooth scanning technology is so convenient and been around forever. So Square - when exactly will this feature be added to the Square terminal? I am annoyed that I bought the terminal now. I have gone to the IPad IOS and socket scanner now and the terminal sits in the cupboard. Not good. What is worse is that I should be getting a lower per transaction fee with the terminal but can’t use it and get a higher fee with the IOS, square reader and scanner combination now. This doesn’t sit well with me. I hope it doesn’t for you? Do you have some useful information for me in my situation?
I don’t have electric power as an option at farmers markets so can not use the USB scanner as this requires the hub to be plugged in. I desperately need a Bluetooth scanner option with the terminal. Otherwise it is useless to me. I had to now go with a iPad iOS and scanner combo but this gets a higher card fee than the terminal which is now in the cupboard. What can I do square?
