Does square terminal have bluetooth

I dont have wifi in my store, currently connect my square to my cell phone via bluetooth, and have 4G ..

Considering the square terminal and wondering how to connect it to phone to accept payments.

Would the added hub work

How does the Terminal connect to the internet to process card payments? The square I plug in to my iphone goes through a cell tower.

I have same question . I use a contactless reader bluetooth through phone app. I dont think terminal has bluetooth only wifi.

Hi @davepitonyak and @cozccs - Square Terminal connects to the internet via Ethernet or WiFi. If you set up your phone as a hotspot, you can definitely connect the Terminal to that network. If you have any further questions, I recommend checking out the Square Terminal Guide.

@cozccs, you won't need Bluetooth as it doesn't need to connect to an external reader as it is built in, and yes it does connect via wifi to hotspots.

Does a Bluetooth scanner work with the terminal? I was wanting to scan items while talking with a customer instead of scrolling through my large inventory. Please help!

Currently Square Terminal does not support Bluetooth accessories. You can connect a USB bar code scanner to Terminal. I recommend checking out our Support Center Article Hardware Compatibility By Device. This article outlines all of the supported accessories for your Square Terminal. 🙂

While Square Terminal does not support cellular data networks, you are able to connect using the hotspot on your personal device. Is that what you've been relying on for the app?

You can also connect an ethernet cable via the Square Terminal accessory hub to process payments on your Square Terminal.
