Discount Codes to be used when booking an appointment online

I'd like to offer a special for clients for booking online, but there is no option for them to enter in a discount code when booking their appointment. This would be an essential asset to business marketing, promotions and bookings. It's important to have pre-paid booking options, but if i want to offer a discount, there doesn't seem to be any way to do this

Can you create a promo code or discount for services as well? Or only items? Please help.

Hey @Minkznmakeup - There isn't a way to create a promo code for customers to use. However, you can create a discount within the Items tab of your app or Dashboard and when enabled it will still apply to your services.

Add me to the list of people begging for this feature. I'm a photographer and am offering workshops to other photographers, and I wanted to offer a repeat customer discount on services. I'm using the appointments feature to allow potential clients to see my availability and self-schedule. It's crazy that there's no way to discount a service with full pre-payment! I love the Square interface, etc. but I guess I'll look at Accuity and see what that's all about as it seems they offer this particular feature.

Square absolutely needs to implement this feature. I want clients to know that they will be getting a discount while they are booking an appointment. I think this is a fairly basic feature and it really shouldn’t be that difficult to implement

I wonder if the "discount code" option is in the process at all?
It is extremely important for promotions to give a code ( and to measure the marketing effort).

I used Acuity scheduling before ( the had this feature ) and you can dive various codes to your referral partners along with creating codes for your own promos.

Would be super nice to have it!

Since Square is not addressing this issue, I’d like to recommend everyone look at Acuity Scheduling

It can easily do discount codes during the scheduling process, as well as a million other ways to customize everything. 

If you use Squarespace for your website, then Acuity is FREE! I should also mention that it works flawlessly with Square (it will collect CC info and create a square customer for you). It also has a ton of other integrations. Right now I have mine create a draft invoice in QuickBooks for every client appointment. 

I switched over from Square Appointments recently and I HIGHLY recommend Acuity, since Square is doing absolutely nothing about this.

I love the idea of being able to provide discounts. However, I have noticed the discount option is only available for items and not for services. I only provide services and would like to have the option to do time based discounts for my customers. Ex: 25%  off all add on services to a massage on Mother's day. 

I also write a blog and often post on social media and would love to have the option to provide my followers special discount codes for my services that they can apply when booking. And to have a way to track how often these codes are used so I can have a good idea on what is effective as a marketing tool. Ie: Do my customers prefer straight percentage discounts for overall services or do they find certain services to be of greater interest?

If these options are provided I would love to know when so I can start applying them immediatly.

We have been wanting to offer coupons to our appointments and have been doing them manually. Is there a way we can offer this to the Appointments? We offer these in Items and the Online Store but not for Appointments.
