Automated Update of Expired Credit Cards

We own Hamilton Family Wines and have a wine club. We ship twice a year. Every time we run our club there are a large number of cards declined because they have expired. This means we have to call and/or email each customer to get an updated card expiration date. We are actively looking at competitors almost solely because of this issue. There are several other requests for this feature in the community and responses from Square saying this Feature Request already exists. After going through all 56 pages of Feature Requests I can tell you it does not.

Managing declined payments due to expired cards can indeed be time-consuming. We understand the need for this feature and would like to keep this post as "Open" for other Square sellers to continue providing their feedback.

Yes, a report or something of cards set to expire in a month would be VERY helpful.

 

What is not helpful is all these suggestions in "ideate" waiting for other users to voice their opinion for you to decide to work on it..  Only a very tiny percentage of users ever see these requests.  A good request is good if it is only one user.

Thank you, Sayra. There are several other requests for this same feature from other wine club managers, but I'm sure this feature would benefit all sorts of subscription-based businesses.
