Add Discounts by scanning Barcode

I have read multiple threads across the different Seller Community channels and saw multiple requests from customers for the ability to use Barcodes to add Discounts to a transaction.  These requests date back as far as 5 years.  This request clearly has interest from sellers.  The feature works great for adding items.  Please translate to Discounts.

Why: Efficiency in adding discounts.  Accuracy in adding discounts.  Ability to ensure inappropriate discounts are not being used.  Multiple use cases across multiple users.

This would be a great feature for use in our store.  We use pre-printed coupons  that have a barcode.  In my old system I was able to enter the barcode as a discount so all the cashier had to do was scan it at check out.

This would be helpful! The changes to apply discounts have made our check out process much longer and I hate it!

I upvote this feature as well. This would allow me to get really granular with my coupons across different regions and channels in terms of sales attribution/ROI. Please prioritize this in your backlog!
