transaction information

Does the transactions have customer information? It would be nice to see information on each transaction sale.  Is this a option so I can scroll each transaction and see who it was sold to?

Great question! 
If you want customers attached to every transaction, Then your best bet would be to manually collect customer information and add the customer to the transaction.

You can enable this in the settings on your POS, under Customer Management - collect customer information before transaction (or after). 

Otherwise you have a few other options:

If you use Loyalty, then when the customer checks in, the customer profile is added to the sale. 

You can enable Email collection at the end of the transaction through  the settings On your POS. 

 

If a customer selects an email or text receipt, that information may be added to the transaction. 

 

If the customer uses a credit card then generally some if not all of this info is automatically added to the transaction, whether it’s collected info or what’s called an Instant Profile based on info collected from the credit card (their name and sometimes their email if they selected an emailed receipt in the past). 

You can see what has been collected by going into your Transactions tab, web dashboard works best but I believe you can see it on your POS too. Click on individual transactions and you’ll see on the top Paid For By:___Customer Name___ 

 

You can click on their name and see more info. 

You can also go into the Customer tab to see your full customer directory.

None of that is visible. I send an invoice and it gets paid thru that but the transactions do not have the customers name.  I have all the customers on file. I want to see the customers name on the transactions without having to go to the invoice section.  Is this possible?

Hi there, @Driberich - thanks for the prompt reply! We can clarify a bit.

 

 

Customer information will not be automatically saved when a customer swipes or dips to complete payment. The only way to collect customer information at time of sale is to toggle on Customer Management, as Pesso suggested above. This option will prompt customers to enter their name and contact information during time of sale.

 

If you have already collected and saved your customers information within the Customer Directory, you can add those customers to transactions at time of sale as well.
