square reader use by one volunteer after another

My car club will be using a Square Reader to take payments at the gate of a car show. Volunteers will work 2 hour shifts, how do we have the volunteers quickly sign into square and pair the device to their phone (don't want to have to tie up one person's phone all day or pass it around to other people) and then get out again.

Hi Vwotg2023,

I don't believe the process can be done as quickly as you would like it to be - the Square Reader for Contactless and Chip can only be connected to one device at a time as you may be aware of, so you'll have to go through the unpairing and pairing process each time a new Volunteer starts his or her shift.   What I mean by unpairing the reader, you may need to "forget" the reader from the device it was previously paired to before it can be connected to the new device.  Something to aware of as part of the process if the reader fails to connect to the next Volunteer's device.  And insure you have a way to charge the Reader's battery if necessary.  Last thought,  each Volunteer will have to have the Square App installed on their phone and be able to access your Account.  Just some logistics to consider for having a successful day.
