returning

I've noticed when we are processing returns that it is not giving the customer their sales tax back. what are we doing wrong? also, how do you process a return when the receipt is not present and you cannot pull up the sale?

Hey @Anderson10,

Welcome to the seller community and thanks for bringing this up. When you issue a refund, the full amount should be returned to your customer — including any sales tax that was included with the sale. Are you seeing any kind of error message or do you have any more information on the discrepancy that customers are seeing?

For more information on processing full and partial refunds, have a look at this article: Process Refunds.

Regarding your second question, if your customer doesn't have a receipt — you can look up a sale from the Transactions tab in the Point of Sale app by entering in their card number.

Hope this helps clear things up a bit more. Please don't hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions. 🙂
