on-line store inventory

In the last few days, I have had customers frustrated and writing to me that they place a big order with many different items only to have a message when they hit submit saying "order could not be placed items out of stock". At first, I would let them know it might be a glitch because square doesn't let you buy an item that is out or buy 2 if there is only 1, etc. However, I tried it today because the messages of frustration were increasing and sure enough, square allowed me to purchase several items...one of which had 1 in inventory but let me choose 2. All of the other items had plenty of inventory. I went through the whole checkout process only to have square cancel my whole order saying there was a problem and items were out of stock. So now is my ONLY choice to put that we have everything and keep no inventory numbers only to have to tell individuals an item was out when they come to pick it up??!! OR have someone buy 12 things and if one is out it cancels the whole order. This is SO FRUSTRATING. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks for posting in the Seller Community.

 

I want to make sure we figure this out, but first I need to know if the orders are being placed with items in the cart that have no inventory leftover. Is it still allowing them to go through with the purchase?

 

Please let me know so I can make some suggestions/look into this further.
