yesterday my pos skipped the customer sign screen on a few sales. why would this happen when my setting are NOT set for this action?

Major credit card companies in the US and Canada no longer require signatures, @dreamtrader. If you have collect signatures enabled, Square will collect signatures only when the card provider asks for it.

I hope this helps clarify why you aren't seeing the signature screen during each transaction!
