how do you set the device name on an iphone

How do you set the device name on a iPhone? It's straightforward on an Android phone, but I cannot find it on the iPhone.

Square pulls the name from iOS directly: whatever you've named your phone is what the device name will read on Square reports.

To change it, in iOS settings, choose General, then Name.

It wont work for us... it used to work correctly but now ive changed the device name and it wont sync with square. Still shows iPad!

Setup a Device Code and give the Device a Nick Name.  Here is how to do it:

5586-manage-devices-by-location. 

I had mine setup by Ipad Names and then one update they were both Ipads, and I found this and set up my Devices with a code and nickname.
