how do i limit the number of orders placed at one time? I don't want my kitchen backed up.

I am new to Square. I am trying to set up an online ordering system to do takeout orders. I don't want everything to roll in all at once and then the kitchen is all backed up. Is there a way to limit the number of orders in a given time slot?

Great question - there isn't a way to limit the amount of transaction coming in for your online orders. This would be categorized as a Feature Request for our Online Store.

I have the same issue and the answer is no.  Most people schedule to pickup when we open at 5:15, when we get too many orders I change the preparation time to 30 minutes to make 5:30 the earliest time, and so forth. It is under settings/pickup and delivery. Kind of a lame workaround but that is the best method I have come up with.
