charity event sales

Hello - The parents association will host a fund raising  event at the school.  

 

What will be sold?  Multiple inventory items at points of sale tables, some other items such as raffle tickets, entry fees, (all at pre determine prices) and several larger item from a silent auction (with ad hoc prices determined on highest bid). 

 

 Who will collect fees?  Multiple volunteers - at least 30.

 

Where?  Toronto Canada in Candina funds/via credit card.

 

Can you advise how this is best handled?  

The school has Ipads & Square readers we can use but they will have Square already donwloaded on them - is this simply a log out (of school account) and log in to teh paretn assciation) account  (ie theparents association accoutn is not the same as the school's we will only possiblyuse their hardware). 

 

Would I pre-set up the items with known costs in square so the "sellers" can simply clink on the item at POS? 

 

Woudl I set up all the clunteers as employees so they can log in and collect funds?

Sounds like you have a handle already.

 

for the iPads, yes simply log out of the school account and log in to the PTA account.  I would just log in with the master password rather than trying to set up dozens of employees.

 

yes in your PTA Square account I would make the items you want to sell and setup the first page of Square POS to have those so the people can click it to add to the cart rather than the volunter addding custom ammounts.  If you do this once it will automatically appear on all the devices logged into your PTA account.
