Why the high cost for add ons?

I understand the need to want add ons but $30 for appointments and there are so many fee software at to cost and $25 for things like loyalty when it was free before im not sure your helping small business. just a question 10-8 has everything you offer in appointments and its free. i would love to link everything but to high.
