It was available to us in 2020.

I used it in a message warning him not to clock in before he arrives on location (otherwise it's time theft!):
I'm getting the idea that the feature has not just been moved, but disabled for unknown reasons.
Square support seems to not know that it was ever available, or they're not willing to admit that it was available, which is really odd.
But the bottom-line is that this feature is a game changer for companies with remote workers!
If Square won't reenable it, then I'll have to go with another app.

After researching this further with our engineers, it does appear that this feature is temporarily unavailable while our engineers work to improve location services used in this feature.
At this time, we have brought the urgency of this request to engineers' attention.
While there is no time frame for when it will be implemented again, i'm happy to make sure our engineers have eyes on your request.

Any update to this? This would be very useful to have a location with a remote clock in, or a geofence for clocking in.

Looks like that this time there has not been any updates on this feature request.
It has been requested by other sellers a few times so our hope is that our engineers sees the number of sellers that this feature impacts when developing the system.
