Why are the tips not included in my deposit?

Why are the tips not included in my deposit?  I give my waiter cash out of my till at the end of each shift,  So, if you aren't including the tips in my deposit, I am off in my register everyday the amount of the tips I give to my help.

If the tips were paid for via a credit card tips will be part of the deposit but not separated out (the credit card fee is also taken out of the tip)

if it was paid in cash it will be in the till like usual.
