When will square register allow me to take a deposit on an order without having to create an invoice

I run a small restaurant.  When customers place catering orders they need to pay a deposit.  We need to process payment at that moment not by emailing an invoice.

While it looks llike you are not the only one asking for this feature, the ability to take an in-person deposit without creating an Invoice is currently considered a Feature Request. I can definitely see how this would be beneficial to your business, though! So I will be sure to update you going forward if an update comes our way.
